What They’re Saying About Us
Testimonials
There is no harder task than finding the right place for your loved one. Luckily, we found Northcott Care Centre for my Mom. The best way to describe it is: it’s home. You are family at Northcott. The staff are loving and kind. The staff take good care of the residents. Northcott Care Centre is clean and the grounds are lovely.
We felt so comfortable right from the first day. Tosha put us at ease immediately. She answered all of our questions and concerns. All of the staff are so good to talk to us and discuss any of our questions. The entire staff are all so friendly and caring.
My Mom was warmly welcomed into the Northcott family from day one. We appreciate the continued communication with the staff with any changes with my Mom. It’s reassuring to know she is receiving such quality care in this phase of her life. We are so fortunate to have found Northcott Care Centre. We believe it is the best care.
Thank you for being part of our family!

My mom entered Northcott in March 2020 after bouncing in and out of the Ponoka hospital following a major surgery in November 2019. The staff immediately welcomed her, answered all of my questions, and reassured me time and again that she would be well cared for – and she was! Mom responded to her physical therapy and daily exercise, a tasty and varied diet, as well as daily opportunities to get involved with different recreational activities. She is away from home but feels like she has made friends and is part of a new community – one that has safeguarded her mental and physical wellbeing through the COVID-19 pandemic. Thank you!

My brother who is totally blind, legally appointed me as his enduring power of attorney a few years ago. Since that time he has been diagnosed with severe dementia. It was my job to find a facility that was able to meet his needs. At the time he was in the Wetaskiwin hospital and I thought I had better start looking. I was given a list of available facilities and went to see one in Leduc. It only took two minutes and I was not feeling comfortable at all about his placement. I mentioned it to the doctor and he told me that my brother may be transferred a few times before he reached a facility that was acceptable close to where we live.
The first placement was in Ponoka at the Northcott Centre. Because of my previous experience I was very nervous in placing him. When I arrived It was exceptional. The staff were very kind and made us feel comfortable from the time we stepped into the facility. Everyone introduced themselves to us and gave us a tour of the facility and his room. Then they discussed every thing that was available for him. The staff we met from the management and physiotherapist down to the maintenance manager felt like family and do to this day. My brother was admitted in October 2022. It didn’t take very long for me to make the decision that he would not be moving to another facility. It is much more important that he get the exceptional care he is getting now than it being more convenient for me. Staff call me regularly to let me know how he is doing or if he needs any specific medications. My husband and I visit him every week and it is always a pleasure. Many people in our community have asked where he was moved to and how he is doing. It was really nice to hear their stories on how exceptional they felt the Northcott was as they knew of others who had lived there.
I assure you that if you choose the Northcott, you are making the right decision.
